Snorkel Tour Itinerary:
Pick up: 8:00 (flexible)
Duration: 4 hours
1. Pick-up:
– Our comfortable private van, accompanied by our friendly Aloha guide and driver, will collect you from your location. Water and snacks will be provided for the duration of the tour.
2. Departure to Puerto Morelos:
– Enjoy a scenic 25-minute ride from Playa del Carmen, or a 30-minute journey from Cancun, to Puerto Morelos.
3. Introduction and Safety Briefing:
– Upon arrival, your guide will introduce you to the English-speaking captain of your boat.
– Life jackets will be provided and are mandatory to wear at all times.
– Receive a wristband for admission to the marine park, ensuring reef protection.
4. Boat Ride to the Marine Park:
– Embark on a 10-15 minute boat ride over the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea to the marine park.
5. Snorkeling Excursion:
– Receive snorkel gear (first-timers welcome!) and join your captain and guide in the Caribbean Sea.
– Follow your captain on two exhilarating snorkel tours, each lasting up to 45 minutes, exploring the second-largest reef in the world.
– Enjoy a brief break on the boat between tours if needed.
6. Return Journey:
– Re-energize with water and cookies provided on the return boat ride.
– Upon returning to Puerto Morelos, rinse off, use facilities, and change clothes if desired.
7. Optional Fish Restaurant Visit:
– Upon request, visit our favorite fish restaurant on the beach (consumption not included in tour price).
8. Leisure Time:
– Explore the charming market in Puerto Morelos at your leisure before departure.
9. Return to Playa del Carmen or Hotel:

Here are some of the most common questions we get asked when clients book our tours.
If you have a question or concern that is not answered here, please contact us directly.
Since all our tours are private tours, we can start at your preferred time. We normally choose to start early to beat the crowds. In general pick up will be between 7 and 8 am.
All our private tours include private transportation, so we can pick you up in your hotel or resort.
We will need your room number plus the name on te reservation.
Yes, technically anyone can do our tours, although when there is walking and swimming involved you probably know best who can and can’t do the tour.
- Paddleboarding in the lagoon can involve some medium paddling effort depending on the wind. Our instructor can always assist you.
- Paddleboarding in the cenote in general is pretty calm.
- Snorkel tours are for all levels, but can be a bit of a swim if the wind picks up. We can discuss prior to your tour whether it’s possible for you to do.
We can provide life jackets for people who don’t know how to swim, or who are not comfortable in the water.
- For snorkel tours in the sea, depending on the conditions we can decide on the spot if it’s suitable for someone yes or no. We also will always try to communicate with you about weather conditions prior to your activity date.
- For paddleboard tours, it shouldn’t be a problem since you can stay on the board.
In case of bad weather, we can decide to either reschedule or cancel and refund you. We will always try to let you know in advance if we can’t do it, but on occasion we will need to decide on the spot. In general, (light) rain is not a valid reason to cancel. We will cancel if we can’t guarantee your safety or you having a fun time: storm, lightning and heavy wind are good reasons to cancel.
If for some reason you are running late, please let us know asap by phone or WhatsApp. We will always reach out to you before the tour to check in with you. If you are late, it could mean that we need to take this off of the time we have for the tour, depending on how late you are.
If for some reason we are late, or if there is a lot of traffic on the road, we will make sure that this doesn’t affect the time that we calculated for the various tour options.
We provide you with drinks and snacks during the tour. Most tours we also include our faoprite tacos.
All you need to bring is a towel, bathing suit, dry clothes, any sun protection like sun glasses, caps, rash guard etc. Remember, most of our tours we can’t allow the use of sunscreen not to harm the ecosystem. We will always bring some eco friendly sunscreen in case you need some for your face.
Bring money for extra purchases and for tips, which is always highly appreciated here in the Riviera Maya.
Our cancellation policy applies to all private tours and for all cancellations and no shows. Please take a minute to take note of them.
FOR OUR PRIVATE TOURS:
You will get a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before your activity or tour date and time. If you cancel after that, there is a 50% refund.
Same day cancellations or no shows unfortunately there will be no refund.
